Next 4th of February, the first Conference on Gender Surgery of 2022 will take place at the NYX Hotel Madrid. Led by Dr. Ivan Mañero, medical director of IM GENDER and plastic surgeon specialized in gender surgery, and Dr. Trinidad Labanca, gynecologist specialized in gender affirmation surgery. This meeting seeks to answer all those doubts and uncertainties about the different aspects of the different gender surgeries. In addition, the actress Abril Zamora will be our guest.
During the conference, entitled as “Surgery in trans men and women. Present and Future”, we will talk about the different techniques of vaginoplasty, phalloplasty and mastectomy, about facial and body feminization and masculinization, about the evolution and the results that can be expected. In addition, we will have the testimony of the Vis a Vis actress, Abril Zamora, who will explain her experience, as well as that of other anonymous people who will explain to us how they have experienced the entire process.

Who will the speakers be?
Dr. Ivan Mañero
Founder and Medical Director of IM GENDER. Dr. Mañero is considered the most recognized plastic surgeon specializing in gender surgery in Europe and even beyond its borders.
Pioneer in certain surgical techniques in gender affirmation, international speaker, he has been working in this field for more than 20 years and publishing his research work in scientific journals. But in addition, he has given visibility to trans people in the health field for more than two decades, always highlighting the need for a specialised of professionals to correctly attend the trans people.
Dr. Mañero is a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) and the EPATH (European Association of Transgender Health), he is also a member of the SECPRE (Spanish Society of Reconstructive and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery), ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) AECEP (Spanish Association of Plastic Aesthetic Surgery), among other professional associations.
Dra. Trinidad Labanca
Specialist in genital affirmation surgery, in surgery and hormonal body modification treatments for trans people and in clinical sexology and sexuality. Dr. Labanca has been part of the IM GENDER since 2015. She has also been the Coordinator of the Sexual Diversity and Transgender Health Unit of a prestigious hospital in Argentina and has published, with Dr. Mañero, various scientific studies. She is a member of the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH), among other associations.
Abril Zamora
Actress, screenwriter and director, Abril Zamora has a long career in film, television and theater. She played Luna in the television series Vis a Vis, giving visibility to the LGBT + reality through fiction. She made her gender transition visible through her social media and, since then, has demanded both greater diversity in characters and more opportunities for the trans community on the audiovisual media. Abril Zamora has become a reference for many trans women and men.
